"I think the one thing that really showed me, and the kind of the final closure for me more than anything was to see them happy together. The connection that they have and what I saw on the show when I was there filming, it was absolutely love and a look that she gave him that she couldn't live without. And she never gave that to me. "She allowed us to see what she wanted us to see. One of the things that I got onto her about was that she started getting more and more closed off as the season went along. I'd given her kind of a hard time about that, especially with the Men Tell All. And, I think that initially I thought that this could be the one and that's the reason why I allowed myself to feel the things that I did and to have the discussions that we did, and things progress the way they did. But after watching it, seeing both sides of the coin, you see what you want to see. In that situation I very much read into DeAnna things that weren't there, unfortunately. *** DATING TIP: The dating world in real life is so much different. It's a different universe to dating on television. I don't know how much really crosses over. "She and I suffered from a severe case of miscommunication. As much as she wanted me to open up and say I’m ready for marriage, I never heard her say those things directed to me. The more time we spent together, the easier it would have been to open up. "I really didn't see a lot of interest from her throughout the experience. And she had kept telling me just to kind of hang on and hang in there. I really didn't think that I had very good chemistry with DeAnna. Even if we had spent a day and a half trapped in an elevator together talking the whole time I really just don't think a romantic connection would have happened. I felt like I was kind of a back-up. "There really wasn't that much of a connection there on both our parts. You can't really describe how to come up with romantic chemistry. You know, you can pretty much go out there, you show her who you are. She shows you who she is and if it clicks, it clicks. If it doesn't, it doesn't. "I think DeAnna and I just didn’t have that spark needed to continue. Now, do I feel as though I deserved, maybe, to go beyond, the top 12? Yes, I do. I felt that I laid my cards out. And you saw on the second episode, I said, “Hey, she knows me at this point better than anybody else. If she doesn’t give me a rose, I’m not going to get one at all.” And I truly felt that because I let her know who I was. ***DATING TIP: I think I wear my heart on my sleeve and I'm most open with my faith.
