Comedian Dave Attel hosts this remake of “The Gong Show,” which features amateurs performing a wide array of off-beat talents in front of a panel of three celebrity judges. The judges can halt the performers at anytime by using that infamous 'gong.' The new version will keep the basic premise of the classic NBC series, which was hosted by Chuck Barris and started its run in1976. Each show will give approximately 10 acts the chance to take the stage, while a revolving panel of three celebrity judges will weigh in on them. Acts that are impressive will earn high scores from the judges and bad acts will get ... the dreaded gong!
